UC Pathways is a project unique to New Zealand in adding an additional level of coordinated support for students. UC used international research to design a structure that is most likely to improve your success and enhance your experience at University.

The importance of time management, good health and future planning are taught alongside contemporary topics and related readings. Small classes, group work and guest lecturers encourage in-depth discussion, with participation in campus events as part of the course.

As a new UC Pathways student you will be interviewed to gain a picture of your educational background and past experience to help us jointly formulate a personalised academic pathway through your first year.

Combining your goals with a picture of your strengths, influences and motivations, provides a living document that can be revisited and reviewed throughout the course of your studies.泭

To facilitate learning with your peers you can choose to be in a cohort of students with similar backgrounds. These groupings will be explained at your interview.泭
